A draw with several goals (2-2) was the result of the derby against Omonoia for Matchday 11 of the Women’s Championship. The game was held at Pera Chorio Nisou municipal stadium and offered plenty of emotions as Omonoia managed to take the lead by two goals scored in 5 minutes (20’ and 25’).
Aris managed to pull one back before the end of the first half (43’) with our own goal and got back into the game. In the second half, our team pushed for the equalizer and got it a few minutes before the final whistle with an own goal again (84’).
With this point, Aris is levelled in points with Omonoia but remained in 4th place with the same number of points with Omonoia (19) who’s in third place due to their victory over Aris in the first game in Limassol.
Aris’ next game is on Sunday, January 23 against Apollon. The game will be played in Asgata municipal stadium and the kickoff is set at 11:00 AM.
