ARIS claimed its 5th victory in 8 games with an important win in the local derby against AEL with 1-0. The victory kept our team at the high end of the ranking in 3rd place.
In addition, this was the third time ARIS managed to keep a clean sheet.
Despite the many absences of Caju, Pacheco, Simion, Radut and Roncaglia, the game was a real derby and AEL were the better team in the beginning. Liasos Louca made several internal changes and managed to turn things around. After halftime, ARIS took the lead with Matija Spoljaric's 3rd goal of the season.
In the second half, ARIS controlled the game and kept AEL players far from clear chances. On the contrary, it was Stepinski who lost the clearest chance of the second half but Vozinha denied him from scoring a second.
The next game coming up is against the leaders of the championship - AEK. The game is set for Saturday, November 6th at 19:00.
