Aris Limassol announces the agreement with Mikel Guillén, who will take on the role of Head of Fitness for the senior squad.
The 36-year-old Spaniard has previously worked with our team during the 2021–22 season (the first year following Aris promotion to the First Division), from August 2021 until February 2022.
Since then, he has worked with several teams, including Azam FC in Tanzania, Latvian FK Auda, AEZ Zakakiou, and ENY Ypsonas. His most recent post before returning to Cyprus was with ML Vitebsk in Belarus.
In addition to his degree in physical education, Mikel is also a licensed football coach. Before fully dedicating himself to the field of physical conditioning, he worked as a coach for lower-division teams in his home country.
The position of his assistant will be filled by fellow Spaniard Jesús Dorado Muñoz.
Jesús has previously worked as a fitness coach in the academies of Málaga CF and with Málaga B, while for the past two years, he has been with the women’s team of Real Betis Balompie.
