Friday's friendly against Metta was actually the last training session of our team in Latvia. During the past two weeks, Alexey Shpilevski's men worked hard knowing that triple and double strenuous training sessions are necessary to be able to meet the increased demands of the new season with European and domestic games ahead.
In the second friendly match, Alexey Shpilevski saw again what he asked from his players that satisfied him, always taking into account the fatigue of the players and the opponent’s strength. On the positive side, of course, is the fact that no injuries occurred and with the exception of Boakye, who is still recovering, all of our players remain healthy.
Now, Aris bids farewell to Latvia and on Saturday morning flies to Austria for the 2nd stage of the pre-season camp. Players will enjoy approximately 3 days off and will meet again on Tuesday 11 July. During our stay in Austria, the team will play 3 strong friendly games and the coach will start to settle on the team he will field for the official games. As was previously announced, Aris will face Sturm Graz on July 14, two days later they will take on Dynamo Kiev and will finish the friendly games in Austria on the 18th against Austria Vienna.
Our team is scheduled to return to Cyprus on Sunday, July 19th.
