With the target now taking shape, in the form of Puskás Akadémia — the team that will be our opponent in the 2nd qualifying round of the Conference League — Aris continues its preparations in the city of Jūrmala.
Certainly, the opponent is a respectable team that has consistently participated in European competitions in recent years. However, within our team, there is a prevailing sense of confidence and optimism ahead of the two-legged tie against the Hungarians.
After all, Artem Radkov is particularly satisfied with the mentality shown by the players, as the pace and intensity of the training sessions are gradually increasing.
Today’s program again included a double training session, with the morning session being of long duration. Initially, the players performed lower-body strengthening exercises lasting about 40 minutes at the gym, and then the training moved onto the field, focusing on ball-based tactical drills, both defensively and offensively.
The afternoon training included a ball warm-up, followed by a half-field game.
