Aris Limassol announces the agreement with German international central defender David Lelle for the next two and a half (2.5) years.
The 22-year-old footballer (born on 9 March 2003) is a left-footed centre-back, standing 1.90m tall, and most recently played for Borussia Dortmund II, from which he was available as a free agent.
Lelle took his first steps in football with SV Hermersberg before joining the academy of 1. FC Kaiserslautern. From 2017 to 2022, he was part of the renowned youth development system of RB Leipzig.
In 2022, he was promoted to RB Leipzig’s first team, being included in matchday squads on several occasions.
Over the following two seasons, he played for FC Schalke 04 II and subsequently Holstein Kiel II, recording a significant number of appearances in Germany’s fourth-tier league (Regionalliga).
In the summer of 2024, he moved to Westphalia to join Borussia Dortmund II, where he competed in the 3. Liga, while also being included in the first-team squad for several matches.
At international level, David Lelle has represented Germany in the U16 and U19 national teams.
