With two training sessions, in the morning and in the afternoon, Aris FC continued its preparation in Kaprun, Austria. This was the 3rd time in the last five days that the training program included a double training session.
In the morning the players performed ball drills, then split into groups for small-sided play, followed by full-court play, with the coach giving special emphasis on tactics, pausing the game several times to give instructions. The practice concluded with set pieces. Overall, it was a long training session and in many of the ball drills, players had to work in high intensity.
During the morning practice, Vana Alves felt discomfort in his back and withdrew. The tests he underwent did not indicate anything serious, but as a precautionary measure he will be out of tomorrow's friendly. Caju will be also sidelined since he is still feeling some discomfort in his hamstring.
The afternoon session was also long in duration and included ball drills, shooting and 11 vs 11 play, while special emphasis was given on tactics again.
Tomorrow Aris FC will lock horns with Hamburger SV in its 2nd friendly game in Austria. The kick-off is set at 15:00 (14:00 local time) and the game will be broadcasted live in Cyprus through Cytavision Sports 1 channel.
