Gédéon Kalulu is Green

Aris Limassol announces the signing of defender Gédéon Kalulu Kyatengwa on a three-year contract (until summer 2028).

The 27-year-old (born 29/08/1997) right full-back was born in Lyon, France, and has origins from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Although he began his football journey at the CO Saint-Fons academy, he is considered a product of Lyon’s youth system, where he trained from 2007 to 2013. During the 2013-14 season, he had a brief spell at Saint-Priest and then returned to Lyon the following season. From 2015 to 2018, he played for Lyon B and was subsequently loaned for one year to Bourg-en-Bresse.

From 2019 to 2022, he competed in the French second division with Ajaccio, recording 85 appearances and 1 goal.

In the summer of 2022, he transferred to the Ligue 1 club FC Lorient. He played in France’s top division for two seasons (2022-23 and 2023-24), tallying 48 appearances and 5 assists.

Last season, he featured in 20 games for Lorient in Ligue 2, helping the team secure promotion back to Ligue 1.

He has been an international player for the Democratic Republic of Congo national team since October 2020, earning 20 caps so far. He was a starter in all matches of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where Congo reached the semifinals.

We welcome Gédéon Kalulu to our team and wish him great success.
