A Fan ID is required to purchase tickets for any football match in Cyprus. The process of obtaining a Fan ID has recently changed, so if you’ve previously applied for a Cyprus Fan Card, you’ll need to apply again.
The registration process is divided into five main categories: Cypriot citizens, individuals aged 14–18, EU citizens, third-country nationals, and seniors. In this article, we’ll explain how people over the age of 65 can get their FAN ID.
Two Ways to Apply for a FAN ID If You’re Over 65
If you’re 65 or older, you have two options for applying:
1. Through the Digital Citizen App
If you’re already registered with CyLogin, Cyprus’s national digital authentication system, and have access to the Digital Citizen app (Ψηφιακός Πολίτης), you can apply for a new FAN ID and use it in digital form.
Instructions on how to get a FAN ID for Cypriot citizens are available in the official government guide.
2. Through the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) Website
Alternatively, seniors can apply for a FAN ID through the Cyprus Sports Organisation portal, using either a computer or a mobile device.
In this case, your FAN ID won’t be connected to the Digital Citizen system, and you’ll be required to print the card on A4 paper and bring it with you when entering the stadium.
