Positive vibes from the friendly against Slavia

Ari’s performance was clearly improved in the third pre-season friendly in Austria, against Czech champions Slavia Prague compared to the previous game.

Players run more, had more intensity, showed reaction compared to Gornik game, and Artem Radkov witnessed several positive elements in the game.

Until the Czechs'  first goal—just before the end of the first half—our team had been under minimal threat, a result of solid defensive organization. In the last five minutes of the first half, the team conceded back-to-back goals and went into the break trailing 2-0.

In the second half, despite Slavia's third goal, and the fatigue starting to affect the players who had played since the first half, Aris reacted, pushed forward, and managed to score two goals: Theodosiou in the 79th minute (assisted by Semedo), and Kvilitaia in the 88th minute, shaping the final score to 3-2.

Between Aris's two goals, Theodosiou also had a shot that hit the post, once again assisted by Semedo.

Artem Radkov used a total of 17 players, with five of them (Goldson, Sané, Sarfo, Gaustad, and Correia) playing the full 90 minutes.

Aris lineup:

Vana Alves (64' Zandro), Mousounda (46' Theocharous), Kokorin (62' Semedo), Goldson, Sané, Sarfo, Gaustad, Montnor (74' Theodosiou), Correia, Balogun (74' Loukoumbar), Effaghé (46' Kvilitaia).

Tomorrow, the players have a day off—the first during this second phase of pre-season—and will return to training on Friday.
