Aris Limassol FC announces the signing of 28-year-old Cypriot international Grigoris Kastanos (born 30 January 1998) from Hellas Verona on a loan deal until the end of the current season.
Grigoris Kastanos began his football career with his hometown club, Onisilos Sotiras, before moving to ENP Paralimni. His talent was identified at an early age by Italian giants Juventus, who recruited him into their youth academy at just 16 years old.
During the 2016–17 season, and specifically in January 2017, he was loaned to Pescara, where he made his Serie A debut just a few days later at the age of 19. The following season, he spent six months on loan at Belgian side Zulte Waregem, before returning to join Juventus U23.
In the 2018–19 season, Kastanos made his debut for Juventus’ first team in a league match. This was followed by two further loan spells, initially with Pescara during the 2019–20 season and subsequently with Frosinone in the 2020–21 campaign.
In the summer of 2021, he joined Salernitana, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer. He remained with the Italian club until the summer of 2024, when he moved to Hellas Verona.
During the current season, he has made eight appearances across league and cup competitions.
Overall, Grigoris Kastanos has recorded 123 appearances in Serie A, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.
At international level, Kastanos, who has represented the Cyprus national team since 2015, has earned 76 caps and scored eight goals to date.
Aris Limassol FC welcomes Grigoris Kastanos to the club and wishes him every success wearing our colors.
