With an intrasquad match, our players wrapped up the first demanding week in Jūrmala on Saturday afternoon. Over these five days of training (Tuesday to Saturday), our players completed a total of 10 training sessions.
Despite having heavy legs from the daily double sessions, the players showed good spirit and delivered some enjoyable moments. For the record, the purple team came out on top against the green team with 6-2. For the winners, Theodosiou 3, Semedo, Goldson and Demetriou (og) were the scorers, while for the Green team, Kokorin found the back of the net twice.
At the same time, our head coach, Artem Radkov, had the chance to see his players in action live for the first time, even if it was just in a training context with a short duration. The intrasquad game lasted approximately 45 minutes.
As for the morning training session, it began as usual in the gym, with the players performing lower-body strengthening exercises. Then, the session continued on the field, which, although tiring, was also enjoyable for the players. After some low-intensity sprints, the program included small-sided games: one-on-one and two-on-two drills.
