Our goalkeeper Vana Alves and AEK’s Ioakim Toumbas were the winners of the “Golden Gloves” award upon the completion of the first half of the regular season. The above-mentioned title is awarded by PASP to the goalkeepers who kept the most clean sheets.
Vana managed to keep a clean sheet on five occasions. Against PAEEK, Ethnikos, AEL, AEK and Pafos. It is widely acknowledged that our goalkeeper is considered to be among the best in the championship.
Although the award is personal, it represents the efforts of the whole team. Defenders, midfielders and attackers: all of them make important contributions to defensive results.
