The 22-year-old footballer (born on March 9, 2003) is a left-footed centre-back, 1.90 m tall, and was playing for Borussia Dortmund II, from whom he became a free agent.
Lelle took his first footballing steps at SV Hermersberg and then joined the academy of 1. FC Kaiserslautern. From 2017 to 2022, he played in the renowned development program of RB Leipzig.
With RB Leipzig, he was promoted to the senior team in 2022, taking part in squads for official matches. Over the following two seasons, he played for FC Schalke 04 II and Holstein Kiel II, recording a significant number of appearances in the Regionalliga championship (Germany’s 4th division).
In the summer of 2024, he moved to Westphalia to join Borussia Dortmund II, with whom he competed in the 3. Liga, while on several occasions he was also included in the first team squad.
At international level, David Lelle has represented Germany in the U16 and U19 national teams.
