Our team completed its final training session on Polish soil today, ahead of tomorrow's fourth and final pre-season friendly against Atromitos Athens.
The match will kick off at 17:00 local time (18:00 Cyprus time) and will be played over four 30-minute periods. This format will allow Artem Radkov to gradually increase each player's playing time during the pre-season friendlies, with every member of the squad expected to feature for approximately 60 minutes. In the previous three friendlies in Poland, all players played for one half, as the head coach changed the entire starting XI at half-time.
Tomorrow's encounter with Atromitos will also see Aris come up against a familiar face in Dusan Kerkez. The Atromitos head coach began his managerial career in Cyprus with AEL, while he also represented our club as a player between 2011 and 2014.
Early on Friday afternoon, our squad will bid farewell to Warka and depart for Austria, where the third and final stage of our pre-season preparations will take place from 3 to 13 August. The team is scheduled to return to Cyprus on 14 August.
