Aris Limassol FC defender, Alex Mousounda, will continue his career at the French Ligue 2 side, SM Caen. The 24-year-old (10/10/2000) central defender from Gabon is loaned to Caen for the remainder of the season (6 months), with the French team retaining the option to purchase his rights, under specific financial terms that have been agreed upon by both teams.
Mousounda joined our team in the summer of 2021, with our return to the top division, and with Aris, he won the 2022-23 league championship, the 2023 Super Cup, and played in all of our team's European campaign matches during the 2023-24 season, when Aris competed in the Europa League group stages. During his tenure at Aris he managed to get the first call up in Gabon men’s national team, where now is considered a regular.
With Aris jersey, Mousounda had 86 appearances in all competitions. We thank Alex for his contribution to our team and wish him every success in the new chapter of his career.
