A man who definitely knows football and the Cypriot reality, takes over the position of CEO for Aris Limassol FC. The Latvian Pavel Gognidze, is one more important addition to Aris family in the ongoing effort to upgrade the club in all levels.
Mr. Gognidze has a huge of experience in football, having worked/lived the sport in all its aspects. He worked as a journalist/editor for the official UEFA website and editor-in-chief for its Russian version. He served as a head coach in Riga (he holds a UEFA B license diploma) and also in the team's academies. He also worked as a strategic advisor to several European and African clubs and had the role of advisor to the owners of our club. He was actively involved with companies specialising in football data analytics and served as a CEO at Paphos FC.
On taking up his duties, Pavel Gognidze spoke about the role he is taking on and his goals: “I am delighted to come back to Cypriot football and assume this important role with Aris, a team which I was closely following and consulting for a couple of seasons now.
I think the owners, the staff and the players at the club have done an amazing job on and off the pitch up until this moment, and my task is to add all my energy and experience to this collective effort and help us grow even further”.
