A Tsar for Aris

ARIS Limassol announces the agreement of Russian striker Aleksandr Kokorin on a loan transfer from Fiorentina.

Aleksandr Kokorin was born on March 19, 1991, in Moscow, and began his football career in the Lokomotiv Moscow academy. 

On 4/10/2008, at the age of 17.5, he made his official debut for Dynamo Moscow and was the youngest player ever to score for Dynamo in the Russian Premier League. He made 171 appearances and scored 41 goals for the team. In January 2016, he was transferred to Zenit St. Petersburg, and in January 2020, he joined Sochi for six months. He then signed a three-year contract with Spartak Moscow, and in January 2021 he was signed by Fiorentina. 

Alexander has been a great asset for his teams in Russia. He has 48 caps for his national team and scored 12 goals in the process. He represented his country in EURO 2012 and EURO 2016. He also participated at the World Cup in Brazil in 2016. 

His CV also includes UEFA Champions and Europa League participations. He has made 334 appearances and scored 99 goals in total in all competitions. We welcome Aleksandr Kokorin to our team and wish him every success with ARIS.
