Our team held its final training session on Austrian soil on Wednesday afternoon. Tomorrow, Thursday, Aris will play its final pre-season friendly abroad, against Austrian side FC Liefering, bringing the team’s third and final training camp in Austria to a close.
The team delegation is expected to return to Cyprus shortly before midday on Friday, August 14, following the completion of three pre-season training camps abroad in Latvia, Poland and Austria. The team will return to Cyprus after 46 days away.
Tomorrow’s friendly will take place in Salzburg and will kick off at 15:00 local time (16:00 Cyprus time). The match will not be televised.
FC Liefering, who have competed in the Austrian second tier for the past 12–13 years, effectively serve as a talent development club for Red Bull Salzburg. As a result, the overwhelming majority of their players are under the age of 20, while possessing sufficient talent to challenge for promotion to the Austrian top flight or earn a move to Red Bull Salzburg.
For our team, the injured Vana Alves, Paje, Gaustad and Loukoubar will miss tomorrow’s friendly.
