Aris Limassol announces the signing of Uruguayan defender Robert Ergas on a two-year contract.
Robert Ismael Ergas Moreno, 27 years old (born January 15, 1998), primarily operates as a left-sided defender.
Over the past two seasons, he has been a key player for UNAM Pumas in Mexico, making 76 appearances, scoring 2 goals, and providing 9 assists.
A product of Defensor Sporting Club’s academy in Uruguay, Ergas progressed to the senior squad where he made 15 appearances. His career path has included loan spells at Boston River (Uruguay), Albacete (Spain, Segunda División), and Rentistas (Uruguay), where he spent two seasons and celebrated the Apertura Championship title. He then joined Olimpia Asunción in Paraguay on loan, contributing to their Clausura Championship success. In 2022, he returned to Uruguay to play for Cerro Largo before moving to Mexico to join Pumas.
On the international stage, Ergas has represented Uruguay at both U17 and U20 levels.
