Aris completed its final training session ahead of tomorrow's first pre-season friendly in Austria, with the afternoon workout focused primarily on tactical preparation.
The opposition will be Qatar's reigning champions, Al Sadd SC, the country's dominant force in recent years. Al Sadd has won five of the last six league titles and have been crowned Qatari champions on 19 occasions overall. The squad, valued at approximately €64 million, features several high-profile players, including Claudinho, whose market value is estimated at around €12 million, Akram Afif, who impressed on the international stage at the FIFA World Cup, Mohamed Camara, and, of course, Roberto Firmino, who needs no introduction. The team is coached by Razvan Lucescu, a familiar figure from the Greek league.
It is therefore clear that tomorrow's friendly will provide a demanding test for Aris. At the same time, it will offer head coach Artem Radkov a valuable opportunity to assess his team's progress and evaluate the players' current level of match readiness.
Throughout the pre-season campaign so far, Radkov has shared playing time evenly among his squad, giving each player 45 minutes of playing time. He is expected to follow a similar approach in tomorrow's encounter.
Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 local time (18:00 Cyprus time), with the match to be broadcast live on Cytavision Sports 6.
